Kushti live at the lift in brighton 11/12/00.
Now sadly no more, Kushti were a fine band from
the hip-hop capital
of east-anglia, Ipswich. They released 2 eps and a wonderful album
secret handshakes on octopus records( that was produced by plaid).
Laid back beats, some inspired turntableism,
and guest vocal sweetness
from Alice Russell (now forming her own band, and singing with the
quantic soul orchestra) the album secret handshakes was and still is
a great favorite on my deck. Still available in finer record shops,
make your ears nice.
